You Will Never Suffer From Cough Or Bronchitis Again – A Natural Remedy For You And Your Child.

Cold days are already here, accompanied with a higher risk of bacterial and viral infections which make us more susceptible to cough and bronchitis. Bronchitis is manifested by persistent dry or a wet cough, both of which typically last for a few days to a few weeks. Both children and adults can be affected by this health concern. In a case of a cough, regardless of whether it`s dry or wet, the first thing people turn to is over-the-counter or prescription drugs. Annually, people spend billions of dollars on these syrups, despite the fact that they are pretty much useless. Multiple studies have shown that even though cough syrups are designed to suppress cough reflex and alleviate congestion,  there is little or no evidence that they work in reducing coughs. Hence, it is time to stop using these medications and turn to alternative medicine instead.

According to Dr. Kimbre Zahn, an IU Health physician, “Probably things that we think about depend a little bit on your symptoms, but things like inhaled nasal saline rinses, doing vapor rub, honey, as long as the child is over the age of one, really has been shown to be more effective than these cough and cold medications.”

The recipes presented in this article are all-natural, safe to use, and extremely effective. Check them out!

Recipe #1 (Relieves Cough)

  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ tsp baking soda

Bring the milk to boil and allow it cool down. Add the honey and butter and mix well. Finally, stir in the egg yolk and the baking soda.

For optimal results, take this remedy before bedtime for 5 days.

How it Works?

As reported by Mayo Clinic, giving your child honey when they have a cough is as effective at reducing the cough as over-the-counter syrups, without the negative side effects.  It helps soothe sore throat, promotes better sleep, and boosts immunity.  On the other hand, milk keeps them hydrated and supplies the weakened body with nutrients like vitamin D, zinc, calcium and protein.

Recipe #2 (Expels Phlegm)

  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey

Mix all the ingredients and take the remedy twice daily, in the morning and before bedtime.

How it Works?

Olive oil is a heart-healthy fat which produces effects which reduce bronchitis symptoms and help expel mucus.  Lemon juice is high in vitamin C and anti-bacterial properties which increase the resistance against infections, and honey provides antiseptic properties and boosts immunity.

Additional foods which help eliminate mucus include fruits and veggies like garlic, onion, citrus fruits, leafy greens, and tomatoes; fatty fish, warm liquids like tea, broth, and chicken soup, etc.
